Irwin Carr Consulting have recently undertaken Noise at Work assessments for Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, focusing on a number of high risk areas including refuse collection, street sweeping and composting machinery.
Peter Kerr (The Councils Corporate Health and Safety Advisor) noted that , “the organisation were very happy with the work carried out, the prompt action and the recommendations given in the report. As a result, staff within these areas have now been provided with hearing protection recommended by the consultant, and will be subject to regular hearing tests going forward.”
