Over the coming months Irwin Carr will be working with the Marine Institute and Blue Ocean Monitoring to map the noise in Galway Bay from Wave Energy Converters (WECs).  We will feed acoustic data from hydrophone arrays moored at the Smartbay test site and from Autonomous Underwater Gliders into the dBSea modelling software to map noise in the entire bay.

We are very excited to be working with these two experienced partners, and look forward to gaining valuable insight into the noise field around the wave energy converters.
