dBSea was developed by Irwin Carr and Marshall Day Acoustics. We are responsible for the development of the software and provide technical support and assistance to all customers in Europe and to distributors throughout the world. We also provide training courses in the use of the software to existing and potential customers.

We are currently collating noise measurements to further validate the predicted levels within dBSea. We are specifically assessing the results for seismic surveys, drilling/piling and the operation of renewable energy devices.

INSUL is a program developed by Marshall Day Acoustics for predicting the sound insulation of walls, floors, ceilings and windows.

INSUL can estimate the Transmission Loss (TL) or Sound Reduction (R) in 1/3 octave bands along with weighted indices (STC or Rw) for use in sound transfer calculations. INSUL can also be used for estimating 1/3 octave band Impact Sound Pressure Levels and associated indices (IIC or Ln,w) as well as levels of rain noise.

INSUL has a simple and easy-to-use interface which can be used to quickly estimate the performance for a wide range of wall, floor, roof and glazing constructions. We are the distributing agents for the SoundPLAN noise mapping software package in Ireland on behald of SoundPLAN International LLC and Braunstein + Berndt GmbH of Germany. Our services include provision of technical support and modelling expertise to clients.

SoundPLAN is a complete software package offering a full spectrum of noise and air pollution evaluation modules, with quick and accurate calculation and impressive graphics. Comprehensive studies involving any size areas and multiple sources an be completed efficiently and cost effectively using this modeling software.

SoundPLAN is a three dimensional graphics oriented program. It hosts a digitizer interface and can import bitmaps to digitize the plan. It produces colour plots and tabulations of the input data and results. SoundPLAN also includes a wall/barrier design optimization utility and an industrial noise control module.

SONarchitect ISO was developed by Sound Of Numbers (SON) and is the most powerful software tool for calculation of sound insulation in accordance with EN ISO 12354 parts 1,2,3,4 and 6.  The software makes it possible to analyse an entire building project and automates the assessment with regards to the relevant sound insulation requirements.

SONarchitect allows the calculation of external sound insulation, internal sound insulation (impact & airborne) and Reverberation Time.  The software’s DXF drawing import module allows architectural designs to be quickly built up within the software.  It has an extensive database of more than 300 constructions and this is continually expanding.  All calculations are contained within a single model resulting in efficient documentation and accreditation of acoustic designs.

ZORBA is a quick, easy-to-use tool for predicting the absorption performance of porous systems with perforated facings.

ZORBA is ideal for investigating the finishes in acoustically critical rooms such as studios, concerts halls, class rooms and lecture theatres.
